If your card machine isnโ€™t charging or powering on properly, tap your problem below.


๐Ÿ‘‰ Your Machine isn't charging

This can be caused by a range of reasons so lets break them down further. Please tick through the following checks:

โœ… The Power Socket Make sure the wall socket the charger is plugged into is switched on and working. Test it with another device to confirm socket is working



โœ… The Power Lead

This runs from the wall socket to the charging base.


To test if itโ€™s working;

  1. Turn off the card machine - See the power cycle guideย if you dont know how

  2. Unplug the power cable from the charging base by takening off the panel - then plug it directly into the card machine



If the machine comes to life, the power socket and cable are working fine.

You may want to charge the machine like this for a short while if you are desperate to use the device.



โœ… Next Steps

Even if your machine is now charging via side-port, we need to find the source of the issue, incase something needs replaced. Put the cable back in the base and omplete these final checks to cover all angles:


Clean:

  • The copper contacts on the back of the machine thoroughly. Buildups of dirt can stop the card machine from connecting to the base.

  • The area on the base around the copper charging pins, being careful not to bend the pins.



Lastly, look for a loose connection where the power cable plugs into the base

๐Ÿ‘‰ The Machine is resetting itself or won't power on

The likelihood is that it is drained of battery and is failing to charge. Be sure to check that the card machine is charging when it's on it's cradle (Shown by the icon change in the top right).

๐Ÿ‘‰ Fast-Draining battery

This is almost always an indicator of the Battery wearing out. In this instance please submit a ticket below and we'll escelate your issue.
