Printing Issues

All Ingenico Terminals

There can be multiple reasons for printing issues, narrow it down by clicking a selection below:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Not printing at all

This can be caused by a range of reasons so lets break them down further. Please tick through the following checks:

โœ… Printer Roller The most common reason for your machine not printing is missing or broken mechanisms. Open the lid and inspect the Roller (if you dont have one then it has came out). Make sure the cogs and collars are present and fully intact as shown here:

โœ… Internal Cogs

Inside the right hand side of the printing bay, you can only just see a small white cog - This turns the Roller which pulls your reciept out.

Ensure this is turning properly by holding the Print feed button on your keypad. (On the silver IWL models this is the Yellow button). This should spin the cog. If it doesnt spin, raise a ticket below. โœ… Battery

It's possible that low battery could be causing the issue. Check it is not drained of battery or is failing to charge. Be sure to check that the card machine is charging when it's on it's cradle (Shown by the icon change in the top right).

โš ๏ธย If this is indeed a power issue, refer to the Power Issues guide

โœ…ย Final steps

Lastly, inspect the whole printing area for any obsructions or snapped pieces. If nothing comes up, Raise a ticket below!

๐Ÿ‘‰ Slow, grindy printing

โœ…Low Battery The most common reason for this is that the machine is drained of battery or is failing to charge. Be sure to check that the card machine is charging when it's on it's cradle (Shown by the icon change in the top right).

โš ๏ธ If this is indeed a power issue, refer to the Power Issues guide โœ… Dirty Mechanisms Its always worth checking inside the printer for buildup. This can often cause grinding or slow printing. Open the printer lid and thoroughly clean with a damp cloth: Roller - Specks from reciepts that build up over time can affect printing

Thermal Printer Head - Debris and paper can get jammed here

โœ…ย Final steps

Lastly, inspect the whole printing area for any obsructions or snapped pieces. If nothing comes up, Raise a ticket below!
